Fourth month working progress : adjust
the design into the cut pattern
The stories on the cabinet are started from the left side and follow
to the right and end at the front door, this auspicious traditional
was called in Thai "Thaksinawat"
(to go round in a clockwise direction). When I was finish my sketch
design and give to the artisen to adjust it into the cut pattern.
Not only has the main pattern that was created the story. (Click
here to read the story) I was design the pattern of all 4 top
knots, Lai Na-Kra-Dan (straight planking
pattern), Lai Bua-Ngai (lotus's petal
pattern), etc. at the top part. The middle one is the “Lai
Ruk-Roi” (lei pattern) which was curve along the main
structure. The pattern at the bottom parts are decorated at the foot
of the cabinet called “Lai Ruang-Pung”
(honeycombed pattern). |
